How to make General Tso’s Chicken at home?
Cooking used to intimate me, but I’ve learned that preparation is the key. First, prepare and measure your ingredients.
Start with prepping your chicken. For this recipe, we’re going to use chicken thighs, but you can also use chicken breast, wash and dry your chicken thighs with paper towels, then cut the chicken into 1inch cubes.
Then prepare a bowl with half a cup of white all-purpose flour and half a cup of corn starch.
Heat up a large skillet or frying pan and coat the pan with cooking oil (I prefer avocado oil). Then drench your chicken in the bowl with flour, shaking off excess flour, and cook it in the frying pan on medium high heat, until golden brown. Don’t overcrowd the frying pan or your chicken will clump up together.
