I can’t believe that three months already flew by in this new year. One of my resolutions was to be a more positive and happier person. But with everything that is going on right now, it can be challenging to be that positive person.
But it’s so important despite all the chaos going on, to have a positive mindset.
Because I want to succeed in life and live my life to the fullest, I choose to be happy.
As a mom raising a family, I want to be that rock my children can lean upon. I am raising the next generation, and I want to be an example for my children. And that is one of the reasons why living a positive lifestyle is so important to me.

Ways to be more positive
Appreciate Life
We live in a busy repetitive world, and many times forget that Just being alive is amazing and we take it for granted. Slow down and appreciate what you already have.
Life is a precious gift from God, in John 10:10 its says “A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” This scripture is amazing because it tells us that God wants to live a life full of abundance.
You were bought with a price, I love this bible verse from John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” It amazes me how much God loves us, He created us to show us His love, He thinks you are so special and He gave up his Son for you so that you can have eternal life.
This life is beautiful, the older I get the more I appreciate and in awe of His creation. Stop and look around, look up at the sky, the magnificent mountains, and bask in the glory of life.
Practice Gratitude
If you want to be a more positive person its important to practice gratitude. Start your day with reflecting and think about all the blessings you have in your life and be thankful for what you already have. Being grateful produces a more meaningful life.
Make a list of things that you are grateful for and don’t take daily things for granted. We have it soo good compared to other third world counties that we take for granted, a roof over our heads, electricity, running water and not to mention more food that we need. (I am not disregarding our everyday struggles, they are as important.) Sometimes we take things in life for granted and don’t realize how good we have it until its gone. Remind your self of the blessings around you and you will see being grateful will make you a happier and positive person.

Stop Worrying
I know its easier said than done, worrying is a natural instinct and we worry when we encounter a problem and not knowing the outcome. I get it we worry because we love the people around us. But all worry does is just leads to anxiety and its just a waste of time and steals your happiness.
I love this quote “Worrying doesn’t rob tomorrow, but your strength today.” -Anonymous
Worry does absolutely no good. Instead of just telling yourself to stop worrying, think rationally and try to come up with a solution to your problem. Sometimes there are certain situations that you cant change and don’t have control over and you just have to embrace that life is sometimes uncertain and learn to thrive from it.
And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? Matthew 6:27.
It’s all about having a Positive Mindset.
Our brains tend to focus on negative emotions, it’s our survival instinct. Train your mind to think positively and see the positive experiences in life. I am a firm believer that with the right mindset you can live a happier life and achieve your goals.
This past summer I had open abdominal surgery, and I remember a moment I was in so much pain and I was just feeling sorry for myself. And moping around didn’t help me feel any better and certainly didn’t help me recover faster. I knew that this isn’t me and the pain is just temporary and with time I will be myself again. I choose to see the good things I have in life, I transformed my mindset to think more positively and it really helped me with my recovery.
Yur mindset plays an important role in how you live your life. Yes life is not always easy and we go through trials, but if you redirect your mindset towards an empowering and peaceful place, you will experience a better quality of life and become a more positive person.

Live in the Present
We all have our goals and dreams, and its good to have something to look forward to. But often we get lost in dwelling about the past or chasing the future that we don’t perish the present.
Tomorrow isn’t promised but the present moment is what you do have. Live life every day fully, and cherish this moment that you do have.
Often we think that if I finally have my dream car or dream house I will be truly happy, and sadly those feelings don’t last long. Life flies by so fast, stop waiting for that next moment otherwise you will miss your life. Don’t lose sight of what’s in front of you, don’t just live for the big moments, enjoy the small simple things as well.
We live in a busy world, and as silly as it sounds sometimes we do need to slow down and smell the roses. If you want to be more positive, learn to let go of the past, laugh a little bit more, and choose happiness.

Great tips to keep doing every day!
I’ve been practicing daily gratitude. Writing 3 things I am thankful for in a journal entry. It does seem to help a little!
